I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.—Psalm 104:33

Greetings fellow Christanons. Grace, mercy, and peace be upon you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

I was tasked by our dear B.O. Ezekiel to organize a /christian/ choir, where board members sing various Christian hymns and songs together. I envision this working as follows:

1. We select a piece that people want to sing.

2. Brothers and sisters, hopefully, who want to sing contact me.*

3. I find/arrange parts for the selected piece and give volunteers their parts.**

4. Volunteers practice and record their parts and send them to me.

5. I compile the recordings and post the final product to a youtube channel and on this board.

As our first song, Ezekiel recommended "Non Nobis Domine" to the setting in the 1989 Henry V film (embedded). We could do this or something else if there are other suggestions in this thread (I may make a poll if people have lots of ideas). One advantage of this particular piece is if there are not enough people comfortable singing parts, I can just ask volunteers to sing in unison matching the video.

As an amateur musician, I have sung in choirs, led musical groups, and recorded music before; however, I have not had to deal with compiling recordings from people whose ability I have no prior knowledge of, so this will be a learning experience for me. I ask your patience if I mess up or have to change something halfway through.

So, in this thread, I would like people who are interested in singing to let me know, and also to decide on what song we shall sing first. Any other suggestions or comments on the project as a whole are welcome. I will use the following email to coordinate volunteers: choirmaster -at- protonmail -dot- com

Thank you for your interest and participation.

Since it has been a week and I have only gotten a response from one volunteer, I would like to remind the others to check your emails. Also please let me know if you got my email and are still practicing / working on recording. I have not set a deadline yet because I want to work with people's schedules. Thanks.

“But I have prayed for you, that your faith would not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brethren.”

Luke 22:32

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Confess your offences to one another and pray for one another in order to be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective!

It came as the heresy iconoclasm. They called to remove the heavenly things (the holy things, holy meaning set apart for worship) from the Church. They say it is needed for this thing or another.

However, now that they have removed the heavenly things from the Church, they seek to bring earthly things into the Church. When they have cut up the altar and hid the icons, they have brought in occult, magical geometries.

They have twisted what was the house of God into the embassy of Hell. Go to a place like in your pic if you want a passport to where it represents. Now you see the danger of heresy.

Brother, I'm not judging the individuals.

The religion itself is vile. Anyone actually familiar with the Quran and the Hadith knows this.

Muhammad was a warlord, a rapist, a pedophile, and a murderer. It's no surprise that the last chapter of the Quran "revealed" was the most violent one.

What with the doctrine of abrogation, it's no surprise why Islam's history has been wracked with violence.

There have been over 65 grenade attacks in Sweden alone this year. That should answer your question. I can go into deeper statistics if you want, but the main point is that 99% of these refugees are Muslim, the same people that have tried to destroy Christianity again and again since its inception in the 600s. Never forget Constantinople or the genocide of Copts in Egypt and Armenia.

As for Pope Francis Memes to keep things on topic.. Eh, I'll be nice even if I don't like Bergoglio. Let's have some lighthearted fun.

You realize clerical fascism is a thing? You don't have to be Mr. White Supremacist to be a national socialist. It's an ideological movement like capitalism or communism, and there are multiple forms. I believe in the form first espoused by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu. It means having pride in your country and believing in nationalism over multiculturalism and globalism. Africa for the African, China for the Chinese, Russia for the Russians, and so forth and so on. It's far less about racial supremacy and more about protecting one's culture and homeland. Stop believing everything you learned in your high school history class.

Not sure exactly what info you want on the Nestorians, but I came across the Jesus Sutras a while back. They were made by the Chinese Nestorians, and contain retellings of Biblical stories coupled with theology in the format of Taoist or Buddhist sutras. They're pretty interesting.

The only Nestorian Church that has any sort of growth anymore is the Assyrian Church of the East. You could start there. They started in the 400s alongside the other Oriental Orthodox who rejected the Council of Chalcedonia. However, while the other Oriental churches are not monophysite (it was more of a misunderstanding than anything) the Assyrian Church actually is monophysite and admits openly to being Nestorian. They are mistakenly classified as Oriental Orthodox but they're actually an entirely seperate group from Copts, Tewahedo, etc despite having similar rituals.

Church of The East apparently was the largest Christian communion at one point reaching Japan and converted Mongol tribes. Now its made up mostly of Assyrians and then Indians. They do not accept the council of Ephesus known as the third ecumenical council. They have a dyophysite christology that is more extreme than Catholics and Eastern Orthodox who are also dyophysites but isn't full blown Nestorianism. They prefer the title Christokos than Theotokos for Mary.

Been seeing quite a few of these atheists from the "Skeptic" community who try distance themselves from atheists like Bill Nye while still suggesting their ideology is still correct despite many of theses atheist youtubers themselves (especially popular youtuber ones) having been left wing or left leaning libertarians till just recently (some still are).

It is the divorce from pro-societal growth religious base nation to cultural relativity theory non-religious ideologue that corrodes our culture, yet they'd still blame religion and still believe that they are the only woke people here to save the day and not that majority Christian, conservative party that even made fighting back politically or number-wise even possible.

I'm just saying, at least according to her she wasn't a nihilistic druggy or banged a lot of dudes. For all I know she did but I tend to trust Christians especially when they share such an awful experience. She has to know that by trying to justify herself and hiding the truth she's only sending herself back their. Whats more is she speaks of how after this experience she began fasting. Who fasts really? I'm not saying it will save her but she thought she was otherwise so Christian that she began fasting. Of course she could be a Job but in the comments she says things like "I will never be worthy of God's grace". I'm just saying the book of life is a pamphlet compared to that of damnation.

What causes people to serve Satan in full knowledge? I don't understand why you would be aware of the Lord and yet decide to serve his enemy. I don't mean edgy teenagers. I mean the power brokers, Freemasons and the like. Are they just so certain they are going to hell that they want to sin until they feel personally they've earned their place there? I was robbed last Sunday night.

I came from my gf's residence and I bought two bottles of water. While going home a black thug asked me if a can give him some bear, he apparently mistook my watter with beers. I said him that I had no beer but I had some cigars, give him one and him asked me if I had some fire to light it up. I answered no and then he called a friend to lend him a lighter. Him and I lighted up our cigars and he asked for 5 bucks. I said I didn't give him and then both of them started threatening. While the threats were made the first thug raised his shirt and I saw that he was unarmed. His friend apparently was unarmed too, because he made the threats and didn't show any gun. Since I was outnumbered I surrender my money and that soulless creature also took my cellphone from my pocket.

I was robbed some times before, but it was the first time that they used my kindness to exploit me… and then I got really pissed. I got home, kind of 1 minute from where I was robbed and got a knife. I went back where I was robbed and waited for 30 minutes for them to show up again and I stabbed one of them to death. They didn't show up and I dropped out this stupid idea.

So… Today I was walking back home from college and a guy that looked like him (I'm not sure) made the same approach. Greeted me and got closer. But this time I was walking with my knife on the streets. I put my hand into my pocket and the rage flowed through my body and I was ready to stab him until death and since I live in a shitty country, chances are that I would never be caught anyway. This time I didn't stop to reply him and I just passed by and got home safe and untouched.

Right now, I can not stop thinking that I'll encounter one of the thugs again near home (or someone that looks like him) and that time I'll not let him live. I can't stop thinking of butchering their throat and delivering justice with my bear hands.

Because of these satanic thoughts I couldn't even pray the Lord's prayer and say "As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation" without felling that I am a f*cked up hypocrite.

HERETICAL SOURCES NOT WELCOME

>>417054

Those who put their faith in the sword instead of God and who live by bloodshed will be met with bloodshed as just recompense for their murderous life. Peter's sin was not picking up or using a sword in self-defense; Peter knew who Christ was at His side yet acted in the flesh to defend Him - and bloodily so. This showed a heart issue with him, his impulsiveness to act violently here proved a lack of trust in who He knew Christ to be, hence why Jesus reminds him thereafter of the power He holds. If He wanted He could easily escape the situation, but it was purposed for a reason, He was going through it willingly. It also showed a deafness to everything Christ had JUST finished telling them once again about the events which were about to transpire. Not surprising since, despite being the first to acknowledge Jesus as the Christ, Peter was also the first to deny that Christ would ever be crucified.

TL;DR Placing your faith in the sword [or chariots, or princes, etc. anything but God] leads to a terrible and disappointing end. Scripture does not teach against defending your family or stopping - if you can - a rape. By stating such things, feeble-minded false teachers endorse victimization among the saints, which is evil. Christ did indeed say to give to your enemy your cloak also, but He did not thereby imply "might as well make your rapist feel comfortable". Come on, now. It's the Devil which encourages man to abandon common sense in the face of such verses.

>Because of these satanic thoughts I couldn't even pray the Lord's prayer and say "As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation" without felling that I am a f*cked up hypocrite.

Stop harming yourself. Your desire for vengeance is justifiable and felt by God. Do not be afraid of that feeling. It is a righteous hatred - BUT that intent to go back in wait is not self-defense but murder. You already understand the difference. I am very glad your girlfriend and you are safe, however.

>I need help, brothers. I want to be ready to defend myself If one of them try to rob me again, but I don't want to desire vendetta and death delivered by my hands all day and night. What do I do? I can not even pray properly. I just want my delight for murder to end.

The first thing you need to do is to leave false doctrine and follow Christ by grace alone through faith alone. Then STOP being so self-concious and self-harming about your hatred. You must pray understanding God that He will, in Christ, enable you to relinquish your hatred. Listen:

The hatred we first feel when horrific evil has visited us or our beloved is not the kind of hatred God in His Scriptures encourages of believers, the type I discussed earlier. This type of hatred has no room for mercy and bears no discernment. It is a bloodthirsty, violent hatred. Is it evil to have this kind of hatred, this torturous and murderous hatred, for such swine? Understand that this type of hatred is initially a reaction, a striking reflex. It first comes upon us at the revelation of tragedy by evil men's hands. The wounds are yet fresh. Our souls are still bleeding from trauma. Be assured that God is patient and compassionate toward our grief and fury; He knows our anguish. However, we cannot allow this murderous hatred to linger.

With a sky-shattering voice that carries sovereign dominion over all creation, God Himself carves into eternity an immutable vow which both warns usPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

When Jesus was running around whipping, does the Bible say he whipped people? It's more likely He struck the animals (of which there was many) to get the heck out the temple area. He was trying to intimidate the (unhappy) merchants into fleeing. It worked. But His aim was not to hit them, nor was it to protect Himself from being robbed, or to exact revenge.

I said Christ was no pacifist: His faith was not in "If I don't hurt people the world will be good", His faith was in God. His anger in the temple was against defiling God's temple, the one place in all of Judaism where people could come and worship and they'd turned into into a market. His zeal for His father's house consumed Him.

>Telling your flock to be eaten by wolves is the opposite of that.

And yet, ISN'T STRANGE that in Luke 6:27-30, Jesus tells His disciples to DO JUST THAT. Hand over your cloak, hand over your shirt, too; turn to them that srtike you the other cheek so that can hit that one too. Don't withhold from them anything they want to steal from you. Strange isn't it?

That's why I said to the original anon, O ye of little faith. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I can do all this completely, but then I know I lack faith. I'm just making sure people here have no excuse for their violence cuz Jesus did it, too.

I love how ANY TIME someone points to the Luke 6 passage, or talks about "die by the sword" or generally refutes the pol-tier "I must be big and strong and beat up my enemies" argument, the stock standard response is to accuse them of being

>feeble-minded false teachers endorse victimization among the saints

There is a balance here, but that middle-ground is nowhere near "Jesus whipped people in the temple, so I can carry a gun and shoot dead anyone who challenges muh manhood".

Everyone, be honest, don't you think what Mr. Williams stated is enough to say that the Reformation was a flop? There really no denying it, protestants.

>what these men taught about The Bible

Nobodies interpreting The Bible. Just quoting it. When The Bible says stuff like "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." we just assume it's telling the truth

ada824 No.417702

>>417695

Right, but that's a single quote…. I could find a quote that states "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" and say that this is one of many quotes that clearly shows works aren't separate from faith but rather a part of it. and this is what I'm talking about… we could dick back and forth like this for a whole thread, I've done it before… But at the end of the day, I know the bible is valid, as do you, but it is the teaching of external forces that changes what we see. 2000 pages is a lot, you can extrapolate a lot of truths from that…

>inb4 there's only one truth

no there is only fact, with truth being a matter of perspective…

ada824 No.417705

>>417702

You see, what is in the bible is fact, but fact and truth are not the same. A victim and a criminal in a court room can tell the same story from a factual perspective (ie describe the same events) but the truth to each is different. And that is why we believe you cannot rely on scripture alone, because while you may read the same book as the Apostles, your derived truth may be radically different than theirs. That is why the Church felt the need to standardize how the bible was taught to the laity.

ada824 No.417706

>>417705

And with that in mid, it becomes obvious as to why Protestant sects have so much division. When men interpret the bible on their own, through no conscious action, they each make of it their own truth and beleve it to be the word of god. If the bible were absolute truth, and nothing could go against it and, in that same light, all protestants believe in sola scriptura, how then could the protestant sects ever divide? Would they not be united by the sheer word of god? Or is it that their own mortal minds have led them astray, and that they now see the truth of their own rather than the truth of the Lord?

ada824 No.417707

>>417706

That, my good men, is why we hate Luther and Calvin and Zwingli and all of the so called "reformers", they taught you to make of the bible your own truth. They taught you to read of it's word, and on that alone form your beliefs, as though mortal men are not all flawed and corrupted and in need of guidance. They taught you to follow in their ways, and reject the ways of old, and through mortal readings and interpretations of text carve your own path to heaven. Blind Guides…

as someone who has been and still is addicted to the internet, during all my years of fedora tipping, I can't help but reflect on the tremendous spiritual damage it has done to me. Just as soon as I began using 4chan, I would see just about every horrible thing and I would compartmentalize and continue to justify using that platform over something as banal as free speech. Later in life I grew very bitter about typical solipsistic /r9k/ shit and I began to convince myself that compassion and empathy was weakness and admire a lot of psychopathic personalities such as L. Ron Hubbard and I would actually do mean-spirited albeit pedestrian actions. After spending some time trying to promote a Christian mentality I went back on /b/ to see if any of the porn would disgust me (or at least not arouse me or give me positive feelings towards it) and if I would feel repulsed by the gore. I didn't notice any discernible difference in how I reacted to these things. Have any 'oldfags' in a similar situation recovered from their cynicism and emotionaless nihilism?

I was just speaking of my personal free speech. I don''t want to turn it into a political issue. I just figured it was great that there was this wild west of the internet where everyone could be an edgy degenerate without any tangible opposition. And now I really wish I hadn't had the opportunity to find such a thing.

we must draw closer to God, and strive to dismiss our earthly passions

those places really don't offer anything, although i still struggle with leaving them

niche boards are nice, but larger places like pol or b are just too far gone, they do not have anything edifying

>Have any 'oldfags' in a similar situation recovered from their cynicism and emotionaless nihilism?

Problem is that there aren't many alternatives for me.

I started on a small European discussion board that was very interesting and diverse

back then, and I remember being less aggressive, less tense in discussions back then. I think the whole atmosphere on all boards has become more and more aggressive, paranoid and angry.

I do also recognize some kind of "spiritual damage" that the internet has done to me, but part of that is simply because the internet is pretty much the last outlet left. Try talking openly about Islam, feminism and Christianity on an average college for instance!

>>417417

Don't make an idol out of freedom of speech. We don't need more freedom, we need more power. In a Christian society, the freedom of speech for people promoting Islam, feminism, transgender-nonsense etc. would definitely be reduced…

Why should I believe that Paul's words really are the word of God?

Yeah some of the arguments aren't that good. But the passover / not passover is good and the question of what exactly happened she got to the tomb. Maybe tomorrow I'll look into it better

If you'd like to see a skeptic approach at it, I highly recommend that you not use Jewish sources. Again, these are it reliable because there's an explicit agenda against Christianity. Take a look at secular historians who disagree with what happened to the body of Christ.

Were any of those mythical figures actually claimed to have been born of a virgin and resurrected from the dead? I've been looking through it and a lot of them weren't either, let alone both.

From my research

>Romulus

Mother was seduced and impregnated by a God. Did not rise from the dead.

0/2

>Apollonius of Tyana

Not a virgin birth. Spirit did rise from the dead and appear to followers.

1/2

>Drusilla

Can't find who this

>Claudius

Seems completely out of place if it's the Roman

0/2

>Dionysus-Bacchus

Father assumed the form of a lightning bolt to impregnate the woman. It's a divine fornication story not a virgin birth

At least some myths have him rise from the dead and ascend to Heaven but this is only one of the versions.

1/2

>Tammuz

No virgin birth. Spends half the year in the underworld before switching places with his lover (to explain the seasons).

0/2

>Mithra

Born from a rock. No resurrection myth.

0/2

>Osiris

No virgin myth. Died, and his parts were scattered. Later his parts were brought together and he came back to life and travelled to the underworld. But Jesus is supposed to have resurrected himself.

0/2

>Krishna

Mother not a virgin. Did not resurrect.

0/2

>Buddha.

Neither
